Before you disburse funds, make sure you have the correct account information
When confirming someone else's account information, first select confirm when choosing the type of request you want to send.
The following fields are required:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email address
- Phone Number
Tip: If possible, use the client's mobile phone number! This will allow them to receive a text message to easily verify their identity. But, if they don't have a mobile number a land line is OK too.
The fields Reference Number and Description are optional. We typically see companies use the Reference Number field for their File Number and the Description Field for the Property Address, but this is up to you!
You will then choose the Underwriter that is associated with your title agency.
Next, on the right hand side, you will fill out the ABA Routing Number that was provided by your client. Our system will automatically display the bank affiliated with this routing number. If this ABA requires a Correspondent Bank CertifID will automatically make this connection and fill out this field.
Enter the Account Name and account number provided by the client. This is what your client will see and confirm. Below the account information is an additional option to send Final Credits to a trust or an investment account.
Finally, the notes field will be populated with the instructions listed on the escrow account information. The user is able to edit the notes and add any custom notes as well.
